In the year of '87, I had my first taste of science fiction/fantasy convention life. I was amazed at the
artwork and soon found Gail Butler to ehlp me begin my journey into the world of art. I joined the
convention art show crews and in almost no time was running the shows. It was a terrific way to meet
other artists and share ideas.
I began doing my own art and sent in three illustrations to, of all things, a garage company. Then I sent
art to a convention which needed three pictures for their invitations. Then Prism Games accepted my art
for one of their games, which will be in the stores in late 1996. Laird Smith Gallery sponsored a month-
long showing of fantasy art, which included some of my work and that of some of my friends. And I have
been chosen to be the Artist Guest of Honor at Seattle's Rustycon in January, 1997.
My goals are to create a realistic style and still be able to do surrealism when needed.
